Personal, Partner, and Group Training. Our team of trainers will design a fitness program specifically tailored to reach your goals. Your trainer will guide you through each workout session from start to finish, encouraging and inspiring you, while ensuring safety and proper execution of each exercise.


Each semester a one-on-one personalized stretching workshop with your trainer will be performed to maintain your flexibility and your lifestyle goals. 


Nutritional facts and information will be provided to all clients who enroll at FITT University. FITT University has teamed with Complete Nutrition to provide custom meal planning, body composition analysis and certified nutritional consultation. Together we will create the most individualized and comprehensive plan to enhance and optimize your fitness goals.  


 FITT University believes that a healthy lifestyle isn't complete without sharing and interacting with our friends and family. Events will be held and included to all who enroll. 

Meet our team

Sean Hickey, DPT

Owner, Doctor of Physical Therapy

Sean graduated with his Exercise Physiology Degree from the University of Delaware and his Doctoral degree from Northeastern University. He worked as a Clinic Director at an outpatient Physical Therapy clinic for the over 5 years specializing in sports related injuries, orthopedic pathologies and back injuries. This past year he worked as a personal trainer becoming one of the most sought after trainers for injury prevention and individualized personal fitness programs. Sean's knowledge of the human body and experience has led him to develop FITT University.

Niki Whalen, CPT

Certified Personal Trainer

Niki lives for fitness and is excited to bring her skills and talents to San Diego. Niki's resume speaks for itself. She has been a gymnast and cheerleader  for most of her life competing and cheering at Eastern Kentucky University. She then became a stunt actor at Universal Studios and has appeared on various TV networks. Niki became fascinated with challenging herself and body, which led her into functional training at a fitness center in Orlando and coaching Parkour for children and young adults. Niki’s goals are your goals and she will teach you how to change your life and maximize your fitness potential.

Phil Gellada, CPT

Certified Personal Trainer

Phil is a San Diego native and strength specialist. Phil received his BS from California State University Northridge where he studied Kinesiology. He has worked at two separate training facilities to develop his skills and has become one of San Diego’s most sought after personal trainers. Phil believes in training smarter, not harder; which has assisted his clients in achieving incredible body transformations. Phil utilizes his knowledge and understanding of biomechanics to develop efficient, safe and effective regimens. Phil is continuing to take classes working towards his Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Tyler Doblado, CPT

Certified Personal Trainer

Tyler returns to San Diego ready to help all North County reach their health and fitness goals. Tyler received his BA from California State University, Chico where he studied Kinesiology, while also minoring in Health and Development. Tyler has trained all populations from athletes to general fitness enthusiasts. He believes that in order to achieve your fitness goals; technique and form are critical. Tyler prides himself on creating safe and effective workout plans that emphasize functional movement patterns to optimize performance in every day life. 



The best part is I’ve really enjoyed every minute of getting fit because with Sean right there, I know I’m always safe from injury and always having fun! He truly is my Hero! He believed in me when no one else did!
